He's not dead!

Hello all of my old Xanga friends! I am alive and well. I finally moved (hopefully for more than a month this time) out of the parents' house. It's going good, took longer than I wanted to find a job, but I think I'll get my first paycheck before the end of the month (plus I get "tips") so everything should be butter. I'm working as a table tender (more like the server's bitch am I right?) at Johnny Carino's down here in Westland.

I'm also going for a position at the EB games that happens to be right next to it (an old friend of mine, Adam, is a manager there) and then they both happen to be roughly a whole mile from our apartment. So I could walk, but I'd rather use that time for sleep (unless my car bites the big one). It's been fun down here so far, I sold a bunch of my games for EB credit, now I have enough for a Wii and a game (whenever they get one, they're literally always sold out, and no one ever trades it in used...unlike the PS3, they have about 5 new ones and 4 used, :P). BUT, they are supposedly getting a refurbished Wii from the company, so if I get Adam to buy it, he'll get a 15% discount on it, making it roughly 190 dollars. Woo!

I DON'T have a computer, so for all of my FFXI friends I'm going to be gone for awhile (I'm poking my ahead around randomly right now on Todd's compy until my subscription runs out). If only EB games sold computers...bleh. But at least the Wii can get online for web business. The wiimote makes typing fun!

Wii will, Wii will ROCK YOU!!

Well, the Revolution got it's code name replaced with this weird word: Wii. I don't know, I'm a little dissapointed...they could've just stuck with the Revolution, but they wanted to get all philosophical on us:

Anyway, the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) is going on this week, and Nintendo's press conference was today, and man...I am pumped. Hardcore. 100% sold. Maybe not pre-order because I have other financial concerns, but I am going to put off spending almost any extra money, other than on milady :}D, until I have enough. Rough estimates right now are 250. Half that of PS3, I suppose, was hoping for another 200 dollar system though, maybe I'll wait for them to drop the price and come out with new colours and a new design...

Here's a diagram of the old controller to the slightly improved new controller:

Props to Goober from the Nintendorks Chatter on putting this together.

Things to note: bigger sensor in front, round power button, the trigger is now more triggery, the name change, - + buttons, 1 2 buttons...and...a friggin' speaker.

I don't know about you, but the way they say their using it...is awesome. The example they used: In the newest Zelda (launch title by the way) when you pull back your bow with the controller, the sound of the string stretching will come from the remote not the TV. And when you let the arrow fly, the sound will start with the remote and move to the TV as it shoots off into the distance. I'm pretty gay for wanting to play with surround sound, but holy crap Nintendo is a freakin' genius for thinking up that the actions you make with the controller should also make the sound effects.

Also, it will have rumble control...don't know how strong it will be, but maybe they'll make it realistic enough so that the enemies can actually disrupt your aim with opposing fire and what not? No real word yet, I suppose, I'll snoop around for that.

Well, I'll make another update tomorrow, for now, here's some of the first and third party games that are planned to be released in the near future (and hopefully most of them will be launch titles)

Super Mario Galaxy, Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Wario Ware: Smooth Moves, Excite Truck, Project H.A.M.M.E.R., Disaster: Day of Crisis, Wii Sports, Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, Dragon Quest Swords, Sonic Wild Fire, Super Monkey Banana Blitz, Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, Call of Duty 3, Trauma Center: Second Opinion, Resident Evil, Madden NFL '07, Medal of Honor Airborne, Dragon Ball Z Budokai, Elebits, Harvest Moon, Metal Slug Anthology, Cooking Mama, Super Swing Golf Pangya, and Rayman Raving Rabbids.

And guess what...they all look like a metric assload of fun.

Finally, here, I made a wally for the new Metroid Prime game: http://img19.imageshack.us/my.php?image=mp3wallpaper5hx.jpg

Hmm...not much. Will be double-teaming some job opportunities with that Todd kid soon, I think. Kinda considering taking up his offer to go to Houghton after the summer. Gonna see how to transfer my scholarships up there (either Finlandia or that other one) and those other things I got at Kirtland. Says he can probably fit me into a job at Little C's. Which would be cool, 'cause it's kinda laid back, but the boss wants it to shape up a bit, and I think my experience at the Deeter's would help out, I work pretty damn hard there, so getting a job that'll pay about the same but actually give me hours would be pretty damn cool, especially with minimum wage going up to $6.50 in October. Oh, I don't know if I said this to anyone outside my expansive circle of friends (Todd and Christin) but I'm really considering changing my major to English from Computers. I really don't know what I want to do, but an English major just sounds like the right one to go for. I'm pretty gay for the whole "follow your heart" thing. (*cough* Christin *cough*)

P.S. Totally didn't see this coming.
